DBR and Elan Vytal aka DJ Scientific were featured artists in this year's cusp conference in Chicago, IL, a conference about "the design of everything" bringing together greatest thinkers and innovators in the arts, sciences, technology, business, design and government. DBR wrote a song for Hewlett-Packard featuring DBR & THE MISSION and guitarist Kaki King, who was named a "Guitar God" by Rolling Stone Magazine.  The song, Unstoppable, was performed live in Las Vegas and is available as a limited edition free download here. DBR was commissioned by OBIE Award-winning director, Bob McGrath, to create a musical score for a contemporary rendition of Shakespeare's classic, Othello, portrayed as the captain of a basketball team. The show premiered at Virginia Tech in Nov 2009.

Off & Running at IFC New Clef Coalition 2010 Winter Olympics

DBR composed the score for Off & Running, a feature-length documentary film directed by Nicole Opper about an African-American teen raised by a Jewish lesbian couple in Brooklyn, will be shown at NY’s IFC Center starting Jan 29.  The film has been shown across the U.S. since its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last spring. Troy High School Orchestra will be the first of many youth orchestras around the nation to premiere Symphony for the Dance Floor (Jan 30) born out of DBR’s passion working with young musicians. It will be performed at Rockport Opera House in Maine on Mar 7, and at the New England Conservatory in May 2010. DBR will be a soloist with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for the Canadian premiere of Voodoo Violin Concerto at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics on Feb 14.  The very next day, Feb 15, he and DJ Spooky will unveil an exclusive duo collaboration at the Olympics Live Site.

Commissioned by Brooklyn Academy of Music, DBR's evening-length multimedia pocket oratorio, Darwin’s Meditation for the People of Lincoln, made its way to North Carolina State University and Nashville's Vanderbilt University this past fall, and will have its Texas premiere at TITAS in Dallas, TX, Feb 25. DBR is currently working on his new full orchestra commission, Symphony for Dreamers, Dancers and Presidents, commissioned by the Sphinx Consortium which consists of 10 major national orchestras.  This 20-min work in 3 movements will be premiered by New World Symphony in Sep 2010.

The 787 Dreamliner will offer passengers a better flying experience and provide airline operators greater efficiency to better serve the point-to-point routes and additional frequencies passengers prefer. The technologically-advanced 787 will use 20 percent less fuel than today's airplanes of comparable size, provide airlines with up to 45 percent more cargo revenue capacity and present passengers with innovations that include a new interior environment with cleaner air, larger windows, more stowage space, improved lighting and other passenger-preferred conveniences.

Fifty-five customers around the world have ordered 840 787s, making the 787 Dreamliner the fastest-selling new commercial jetliner in history.
