  | Dylan Loewe: While it's been a pretty amazing week for Democrats, they are still facing an uphill battle in November. Without a miraculous economic recovery or a deafening Republican scandal, Democrats are almost sure to lose at least 15 seats in the House and at least a couple in the Senate, and at most, 30 House seats and 8 Senate seats. The difference between the two is stark. And with that in mind, there are some exciting things happening now that should give Democrats plenty of reason to feel optimistic. Click here to read more.
Once you understand that the resolution authority is an illusion, you begin to understand that the Dodd legislation would achieve nothing on the systemic risk and too big to fail front.
Despite a new administration in Washington, not to mention the damage done to their credibility since the Iraq invasion, the Neocon core lives on, because networks like it are self-propelling and enduring.
Just as the free states could not tolerate the spread of slavery into their midst, so too, free, middle-class America -- if it still has its historic character -- will not tolerate the yoke of socialism put upon our necks.
The far-right fringe is out of its mind about health care reform. And throughout the week, its behavior has gone from irresponsible, to racist, to unapologetically dangerous.
The Supreme Court has a high standard for criminalizing speech. Free speech, while not an absolute right, is a highly protected privilege in the United States. So far, Palin is not acting criminally.
