Congressman Introduces Bill to Expand TPS
Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) made the following statement on introducing a bill to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Haitians living in the United States. Joining Hastings as original co-sponsors of the bill included: Reps. Ted Deutch (D-FL), Al Lawson (D-FL), Val Demings (D-FL), Charlie Crist (D-FL), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Debbie Muscarel-Powell (D-FL), Donna Shalala (D-FL), Darren Soto (D-FL), Lois Frankel (D-FL, and Kathy Castor (D-FL).
